Rearing Field
Pheasant and partridge poults raised in low-density sheds and fresh-field rotation for healthy, quality birds.
Rearing Field
All our pheasant and partridge poults are reared in a traditional system of 8ft x 8ft shed night shelters and grass runs. Pheasants are reared to 7-8 weeks whilst Partridges are reared to 14 - 16 weeks old. Stocking densities of each are kept low, ensuring healthy, well-feathered poults. The poults grow well in these small groups with less competition and plenty of room. The rearing field is located on fresh ground every year which is crucial when rearing quality healthy birds.
Poults can be caught late on the evening before or early morning, and delivered that morning depending on the customer’s preference. We encourage customers to use the same feeders and feed to give continuity to ensure stress levels are kept to a minimum.
