1X
A cross between the Blackneck and Chinese Ringneck, the 1X is a more manageable bird which retains all the attributes of the pure breeds plus hybrid vigour. This first cross is our most popular bird as it appears to suit all types of shoot.The bird is well suited for commercial shooting, given its holding and flying ability.
Blackneck
The Blackneck is well known for its holding ability.The bird is ideal for smaller shoots that require less management.The blackneck tolerates more shooting pressure and disturbance than other breeds.
Chinese Ringneck
Our stock of Chinese Ringneck originates from Bill McFarlane in the USA. A little, flighty bird that is highly aware of its surroundings and has a noticeable upright stance, best adapted to low-lying shoots with flatter topography. Flies well on partridge beats from cover crops but cannot withstand excessive shooting pressure.
