Established in 1982, we have over 40 years’ experience in the industry providing pheasant & partridge eggs, chicks, poults and commercial shooting to the very highest standard.
Still family run, we have become one of the leading producers of game birds in the UK. Our meticulous process, gained over our 40 years in business has ensured we keep our customers satisfied every time.

Quality Over Quantity
The quality of our product, aided by over 40 years of experience in the industry, will be one of the best in the industry. Stocking densities in every phase of the process are low to ensure healthy, well-feathered birds across the board.
We don't take any short corners in the production of our birds, and we'll always live up to our well-established reputation of customer service and a quality product that goes above and beyond.
Our Process
We take care at every step of the journey to ensure we produce the best eggs, chicks and poults for our customers.
Overwintering
Since the Farm was first established a closed flock of the highest quality birds selected from our own rearing has been maintained.
Laying
At this phase the birds are moved from the larger overwintered pens into smaller pens ready for the laying season. We keep approximately 18,000 laying birds which are kept in 80ft x 40ft netted pens with plenty of grass and cover.
Hatching
Our hatching season runs from the Middle of April to the middle of July, with hatch days taking place early on Monday mornings. This provides the option of same or next day delivery.
Rearing
A large percentage of our pheasant and partridge poults are reared in a traditional system of 8ft x 8ft shed night shelters and grass runs. Stocking densities of each are kept low to ensure healthy, well-feathered poults.

Order & Delivery
M.G. Walker and Sons game farm is centrally located in the UK which enables us to keep delivery times to a minimum. All chicks are transported using our own fleet of climate controlled vans and poults are delivered on trailers towed by 4x4 vehicles for easy access to release pens.
